About me

After studying analytical philosophy at university, I worked in the theatre as an actor and director, and I remain interested in the therapeutic role of metaphor and performance.  I developed a deep curiosity about the emotional and psychological issues which can cause isolation and despair, and which also connect us as human beings to one another.

I began my career in the fields of mental health and psychotherapy twelve years ago. This has included supporting new mothers in an NHS perinatal psychiatric unit, and facilitating drama workshops for people affected by homelessness and severe mental illness at the Baron's Court Project.  For six years I worked with the suicide prevention charity Maytree, supporting people from different backgrounds who find themselves in suicidal crisis.

Since 2014 I have worked one to one with clients with a range of issues including relationship and career problems, anxiety, depression, and traumatic memories. In addition to my private practice, I have been a counsellor at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a Lecturer and Supervisor on the BA in Integrative-Relational Counselling at Kingston College.

If you would like to talk about how therapy might be of help you, please feel free to call or email me using the contact details at the bottom of the page.
